Harpooners Add a New York Native, Yohendy Martinez

    Harpooners have picked up another international for the squad, Yohendy Martinez. Yohendy has been playing the game since high school here in the U.S and has gone on to represent his country of origin the Dominican Republic Rugby Federation. Starting his career out of Monroe High School and playing with Play Rugby USA. He then went on to play college rugby at St. Bonaventure. He’s really developed in to quite a rugby player always looking to improve. Now currently with NYAC, he is excited for an opportunity to play for Hartford. Yohendy is usually found in the second row or playing 8 man but don’t let his size fool you, you’ll also be able to see him playing in the seven-a-side style of play as well. With Yohendy’s experience and rugby intellect he’s developed through the years it’s no wonder we pick him up for the #HartfordHarpooners #manifestinglegendaryruggers
